The grade 7/8 class held a Family Valentine’s Tea & Dessert on February 12, whereby family and caregivers attended Biidaaban to share in some festive treats.
The classroom was decked out in Valentine’s décor with heart-covered tablecloths, pink and red heart doilies, and cute, miniature fairy lights strung around the perimeter of the room. A decorated desserts and tea table was displayed in the middle, so it was easily accessible for guests and students to graze from and visit around. The event was well attended by family and caregivers and based on the smiles and enjoyable atmosphere of conversation between students and community members, it was deemed a success.
